Flash Card Learning
Making Learning Accessible for 16–25 Year Olds
A Satellite of Love – Community Education & Skills Development
Learning through short, practical activities
Flash card learning is a simple, affordable and interactive way to help young people develop knowledge, confidence and practical life skills.
Our proposed community learning programme will use flash cards to encourage participation, improve recall and make education more accessible for young adults aged 16–25.
The benefits
1. Better memory and recall
Repeatedly retrieving information helps young people remember important facts, terms and concepts.
2. Improved concentration
Short learning sessions break information into manageable sections.
3. Social learning
Students can work in pairs or small groups, encouraging communication and teamwork.
4. Confidence building
Achievable questions and positive feedback can help learners recognise their progress.
5. Affordable education
Cards can be reused, shared and adapted to different subjects.
6. Independent learning
Young people can practise at their own pace, individually or with others.
